Our holiday accommodation is spotlessly clean, fresh and consists of self-catering holiday cottages; Visit Wales Tourist Board graded at 4star standard, and quality Static Caravans. All are very close to the lakes and all are suitable for couples, for family holidays (with or without fishing) or specifically Fishing Holidays.
The cottages are disabled friendly. About 4 miles away, in a south-westerly direction is the lovely old fishing village of New Quay (Wales) with its crystal clear waters and beautiful sweeping, sandy bays.
Should you visit New Quay, walk down in to the harbour area behind the yacht club and look up at the "old" harbour charge signs on the wall; It brings history to life!
Also 4 miles away, northerly from us is the busy coastal town of Aberaeron.
With its myriad of colourful Victorian houses and shops. Cardigan is 20 miles south and Aberystwyth is 20 miles north, with Carmarthen roughly 35 miles away in a south easterly direction inland.
The Fishery has 3 Trout Lakes, 2 Coarse Lakes, and 1 Novices pool for Coarse Fishing.

The Trout lakes hold Rainbows and Blues from 2lb, plus small Brown Trout.
The Coarse Lakes hold all varieties of Carp (Ghost, Mirror, Common, Koi, Grass), real quality Roach, good Bream, Tench, small Chub, small Barbel and some good Eels.

With Pristine, First Class Holiday Cottages (Tourist Board Graded at 4 stars) and quality Static Caravans (Tourist Board Accredited).
With a total of 6 lakes, Nine Oaks is a both a Trout Fishery and a Carp/Coarse Fishery and is also a small Holiday Centre. It is open all year from dawn to dusk for fishing, except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. In a quiet corner of West Wales, just a few miles from the Cardigan Bay lies Nineoaks, a naturally pretty fishery and a first class Angling Center. Carefully managed, it has a good variety of clean, hard fighting Carp and Coarse Fish (no snotty Bream here) and the Trout Lakes contain Blue and Rainbow Trout. Here, even the smaller fish think they’re bigger than they are, fighting hard all the way to the net. Catch a big Roach and you will think you have caught a 2lb Carp, a real scrapper! You will be surprised just how hard our fish fight!
Although not the biggest Carp, average about ½lb, they certainly know how to put up good fight, so, if it is the sport you want, and not just a big fish coming in like a Tesco bag full of spuds, we take some beating!
Nineoaks has 3 Coarse and 3 Trout Lakes and some top class accommodation suitable for the whole family, and especially your wife. You will have to go a long way to find better, cleaner, fresh smelling accommodation than those available here. The accommodation consists of Static Caravans, overlooking the lakes, a 4star semi-detached bungalow, plus a small 4star cottage annexe; They are all suitable for anglers, their partners or family staying in luxury. They have central heating, fully equipped kitchens, leather couches, good showers - the lot.
Fishing is good too, margin fishing at any time is excellent and night anglers often stop fishing in the very early hours saying “if we didn’t stop we wouldn’t get any sleep” often having landed about 70 Carp in a 24hr session up to 18lb and occasionally bigger.

General Coarse fishing is also good, we have some superb Roach fishing with Roach up to 2lb and plenty ½lb or bigger, good Bream about 3lb and over, Grass Carp in nearly every lake and plenty of lovely golden green Tench plus Koi, some small chub, small Barbel, and all species or varieties of Carp. The Carp go up to the mid 20’s with plenty around the 10lb mark and many bigger, with the average Carp around ½lb or 6lb.
Getting around the lakes is easy with grassy ramps, for the non-ambulant, and good sized wooden platforms aplenty. Almost any bait will catch, floating bread and chum mixer pellets being awesome after 4pm, and in the summer months fish tinned Beef Tongue - fantastic and with the usual baits of sweetcorn, luncheon meat, meat balls etc. good anytime at nearly every peg. Try using Tomato flavoured meat balls as bait - terrific! The House Pool is nearly 10ft deep with a large Lilly bed and plenty of reeds and bushes etc around the lake.
The Main lake being around 4-5ft deep with shallow margins whereas the Novice’s pool is around 6-7ft deep with plenty of smaller fish to keep every one happy. All lakes have plenty of features to fish to, with reed beds, lilies and overhanging trees and bushes everywhere.
Trout fishing is usually excellent with most anglers catching their bag limit. Best recent fish has been a 9lb Rainbow, we stock at 2lb+ Blues and Rainbows with the odd 3lb, 4lb and occasionally ½lb Trout. Best flies are usually, Nymphs and Olives, plus Damsels and Montanah’s, also Cats Whisker or Diawl Bach to name just a few flies.
Overall a place definitely worth a visit and an excellent place to stay whether for a fishing holiday or a family holiday.
The center is located about 2 miles inland from some of the best sandy beaches and beautiful coast line in Wales. There are plenty of things to do and see just a short drive away. Many fisheries are usually isolated and once on-site you have a long travel to find other things to do. Here, you can fish in the morning, take the wife out during the day and return for some spectacular afternoon and evening fishing. What more do you want - a fantastic holiday, superb accommodation and awesome fishing, and no "black marks" either? Perfect!
